Therapy for Work Stress

“Am I doing this right?”

You feel like you should be… happier.

That’s why you studied so hard, got that degree, put in those extra hours at the office.

But you’re not.

Most days, you feel like an imposter. Like if someone really paid attention to what you were doing, you’d be in trouble.

Everyone around you seems to just get it more than you do. Even maintaining the minimum is stressing you out.

Questions of self-doubt keep nagging at you:

“Maybe I picked the wrong career. But what would my parents say if I told them that? Or my friends?”

“How can I ever keep up?”

Take a moment. Just breathe. You’re not the only one who feels this way.

It feels like that sometimes, like everyone else has it all figured out while you’re struggling to keep up.

But the reality is that many people feel lost. Many people struggle with what success is and how to achieve it. They are just as likely to be unsure how to juggle the demands of work with friends and relationships outside the office. Many people wonder how to create community and how not to feel so alone.

There are ways that we can make it easier.

You may be holding yourself back because of things you were taught when you were younger or because of limiting beliefs that you have about yourself. Sometimes, you can develop skills or tools to help lighten the load.

Becoming aware of what’s been holding you back is powerful because it means you can change it.

You can take control of your life again.

You can start to let go of some of those blocks to your creativity, some of those challenges to your sense of self-worth, some of those things that make you feel like an imposter.

You need to be able to talk about what’s going on to gain insight.

As your therapist, I’ll provide a safe, comfortable, judgment-free place for you to be able to think about what’s going on in a new way.

I’ll provide an objective lens and offer insight.

You’ll be able to reflect on what’s happening now and how the past may be influencing the present.

We’ll listen to what you’re saying with your words and also how your body is reacting – do certain things tend to make you anxious, or do certain topics tend to make you less present?

Our observations will give you a combination of insightful revelations and practical skills you can use to start to regain control over your life.

Because you’re worth it.

Therapy is a commitment, but you owe it to yourself to take the time. I will help you find what works and am flexible about video or phone sessions if your schedule requires that.

You want to spend the next part of your life feeling better. I want to work with you to get you there.
